What I'm about to tell you is weird.

I learned a very strange trick yesterday.  I'm going to share it with you. For the past week or so I've been experiencing a very waxy, slightly greasy buildup at the roots of my hair.  I understand this is gross but I love you all and don't care if you judge me.  After some internet research, I found out that washing your hair with listerine is supposed to take care of this little problem.  With a little hesitation, I stopped at Rite Aid last night and picked up a bottle.  The brown stuff, not the minty stuff.  You know, the stuff that the lady on Intervention drinks to get wasted?  Anyhow, sure enough, after washing my hair with my normal shampoo this morning and then adding a few capfuls of listerine to my head...my hair is about 90% better!  Who would have thought!  The ladies on the internet say that one more day of it and I should be good as new!  Not quite sure what this could be doing to my scalp...I definitely experienced a tingling sensation that left me a little anxious...but beauty is pain, right?

ENJOY!

Easter Feaster!

Ok, so not quite the Easter I was hoping for but I started to feel BETTER today, so that makes it the best Easter ever.  I've been sick for 5 days.  Not just sick... disabled, wounded, bedridden, diagnosed.  I won't get into what's been wrong with me because that would just be innappropriate and because you all probably know already.  All I will say is that things are looking up.  Also, the Easter bunny came a day early for me and WOW, he brings amazing things when you're an adult.  F chocolate bunnies and cadberry eggs...I'll take this stuff anyday!

Thank you Easter Bunny! (Dad)

Oh and he didnt get the alcohol, that was the tooth bunny or someone.

I copy Siri.

I can't really begin to tell you how delicious this soup is.  I've had it 5 meals in a row I think.  There is something about that salty cheese and the soggy chips and the creamy avacado.  Definitely something I will continue to make for 87 years.

Check out the recipe here.

Holy LORD, where have I been?

I can't understand people that have to work long hard hours for long periods of time.  I do it for 4 days and it takes me weeks to prepare and to recover.

I finally have a little break and I get to do things like this at the office again.

Yay.

DAY 2

Okay, my Mom made me feel bad with her comment about the post below.  Yes, I know they are homeless and that is unfortunate.  I will assure you all that it is probably 60 degrees in the morning, and they are in no way freezing. I'll stop taking pictures of them...but if they're still doing this 30 days from now, I may have to pull my car over quickly and jump in between them for a quick snapshot. They are even positioned exactly the same as yesterday!!! Wait, I'm suddenly afraid they may not be alive under there.  Oh my gosh, should I call someone?

Notice anything odd?

You guys might think I'm mean for taking this picture and posting it but come on...it's weird.

SURPRISE

Look what I got today! The poor delivery guys walks into my office and I said, "What the F**K?"

The card read "I should have gotten you flowers on Valentines Day."  I say, they are WAY more special today.

FOOD THERAPY

This weekend was depressing.  I don't know why, it just was.  I wasn't feeling like myself.  I was tired and lazy and it just sucked.  So, yesterday I walked to my car, uncertain of exactly where I was going to go but I knew I had to get out of the house.  Before getting into my car, I saw Momo (our landlord) working on the garden in the back.

Side note...when we first moved in, the garden was amazing.  There were all sorts of veggies (have you ever seen an artichoke tree? I have.) There were blackberries trees, beautiful flowers, etc.  Then, we had some major construction going on for months and the guys totally destroyed the entire garden.  It was quite depressing.

I wasn't sure it was ever going to be a beautiful garden again, however, in a matter of days Momo has managed to build the garden back up to an even more impressive sight.  I told her how beautiful is was and she said there were multiple types of lettuce, tomatoes, brussels sprouts, green beans....and  that I was able to come pick whenever I wanted to!  She then said to me, "Hannah, gardening is my therapy...I love it out here. "  It was so inspiring that after a slight pause I realized what my therapy was...cooking food.  So, off to the grocery store I went to gather up ingredients for one of my favorite comfort meals.

Chicken Chili, recipe here.

BIG FAT TUESDAY

So, Jennifer brought in a King Cake today.  I find it a very odd tradition but still enjoy the sugary mess very much.  Here's a picture of it after we all attacked it like lions.

Here is the little gold baby that you have to be careful not to choke on.
